Hull Cleaning in San Diego, Done by Hand

Your bottom paint, your fuel bill and your thru-hulls all depend on what is growing under your boat. Justin Time Diving has been cleaning hulls in Southern California since 2015.

Divers who treat your hull like their own

We clean by hand, with soft pads, so the bottom paint stays on the boat and the growth comes off. Every thru-hull and intake gets checked, not just the flat of the hull. We are fully licensed and insured, and we work on vessels of all sizes, all kinds of bottom paint and all modes of propulsion.

Every hull cleaning covers

  1. Hand cleaning with soft pads

Algae, slime and barnacles removed without scraping away the paint you paid for. Power washing is available upon request.

  2. Thru-hulls and intakes

We go through every thru-hull and intake, so water keeps flowing to your engines and systems.

  3. Underwater inspection

While we are down there, we look at the hull and the metals and tell you what we find.

  4. Zinc replacement as needed

Anodes are replaced when they are worn — not before.

  5. Underwater videos upon request

See the condition of your hull without leaving the dock.

Every 3 weeks from April to October

Warm water speeds up marine growth. Between April and October we see green and brown algae and white coral worms settle fast, so we recommend a cleaning every 3 weeks in that season. Outside it, we build a schedule every 4 weeks.
